A proper balance of nutrients is critical for normal brain development. Help Cross-stitch provide the needed protein for our Orphan Homes and our schools in Peru.

Cross-stitch is the members of the ELS being “stitched together” to support unbudgeted Home and Foreign Mission projects.

Missionaries along with the Board for World Outreach-BWO, (Pastor Tom Heyn, World Outreach Administer) and the Board for Home Outreach-BHO (Pastor Brad Kerkow, Evangelism Mission Counselor) contact the Cross-stitch Committee with suggestions and requests. The committee considers the needs described and the requests made, selects a range of home and foreign projects to sponsor and sets a monetary goal for the year.

Cross-stitch “stitches together” donations from the many ELS Women’s Mission Societies and attempts to accomplish significant blessings among our mission affiliates worldwide. This year’s projects include:


Current Projects

Our Goals have increased for many of our projects this year to meet the increasing cost of goods and support needed in the mission fields.

In 2023 many lives will be blessed as Cross-stitch proposes, with your help, to raise:
FOREIGN MISSIONS
• India – Orphan support (food, clothes) $26,000
• India – India orphan vocational scholarships $6,000 ($500 in scholarships for 12)
• Peru – Food for jungle schools $7,000
HOME MISSIONS
• King of Grace, Wauken, IA $2,500 mobile Audio/visual equipment (to be used in Church for meetings and Fellowship hall for presentations) 
• Hope, Farmington, MN $2,500 (Outreach Event, podcast equipment)
Total $44,000


In 2022 the following donations were received and distributed as follows:
India – Orphan support (food, clothes) $20,000
India – India orphan vocational scholarships $5,000
Peru – Food for jungle schools $5,000
Divine Mercy, TX $2,500
Living Waters, TX $2,500

Total dispersed $35,000


In 2021 the following donations were received and distributed as follows:
3/7 $15,000 Ukraine Disaster Fund
7/14 $10,000 Food for the Indian orphans
11/22 $5,000 Food for our Lutheran schools in the jungle of Peru
11/23 $10,000 Food and clothing for the Indian orphans
11/30 $2,500 A Power Hour Preschool Program at Divine Mercy, Weatherford, TX
11/30 $2,500 New computer at Living Waters, San Angelo, TX
2/27 $5,000 Vocational scholarship for young Indian women
